Obligatory excise bands on liquids for electronic cigarettes

The Ministry of Finance issued a statement in which it reminds that from May 1, 2021, the exemption from the obligation to label liquids for electronic cigarettes with excise bands ceases to apply. Starting from May, these products must be marked with a tax or legalization excise stamp.

The Ministry informed that the introduction of these regulations is aimed at improving the protection of legal business against unfair competition. This solution also benefits consumers who, thanks to the bands, can easily distinguish the original product from an illegal counterfeit.
